Hi, It's Me ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Hi, It's Me mobile application.

Information we collect

Contact data you scan: When you scan a business card, the image is sent to our servers for AI-powered text extraction. We extract contact details (name, phone, email, company, title) and return them to your device. The card image is not stored on our servers after processing.

Contacts you save: All contacts, notes, voice recordings, tags, and observations are stored locally on your device using an on-device database. We do not have access to your saved contacts.

Voice recordings: Voice notes are recorded and stored on your device. If you use the transcription feature, the audio is sent to our servers for processing and deleted immediately after transcription.

Location data: With your permission, we use your device location to tag where you met a contact. Location data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers.

Digital card: If you create a digital business card, the information you provide (name, phone, email, etc.) is stored on our servers to generate your public card page and QR code. This information is intentionally public — it is the information you choose to share with others.

AI chat: When you use the AI chat feature, your message and a summary of your contact names and companies are sent to our servers for processing. We do not store chat history on our servers.

Account and subscription: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat collects your Apple ID purchase data to validate your subscription. We do not see your Apple ID or payment details.

How we use your information

Information we do NOT collect

• We do not access your device contacts or phone book
• We do not track your location in the background
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties
• We do not use your data for advertising
• We do not store business card images after processing

Data storage and security

Your contacts, notes, and voice recordings are stored locally on your device and are not accessible to us. Server-side processing (card scanning, message drafting) uses encrypted HTTPS connections. We use Anthropic's Claude AI for processing, subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.

Your rights

You can delete all your locally stored data by uninstalling the app. To delete your digital card from our servers, contact us at the email below. If you are in the EU, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data.

Children's privacy

Hi, It's Me is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
